Members of the Rock Island County Board believe chairman Phil Banaszak and his executive assistant, Shelly Chapman, have been overpaid. The group held a press conference this morning to discuss errors they believe theyve found on the timecards for Banaszak and Chapman. They want an audit to be done. Chapman says an accounting firm began an audit in July to look into calculation issues. But Johnston and other board members say they were never asked to approve it.
