Members of the public are being asked to help save our saplings. The street trees planted in the last couple of years are suffering in this hot weather. Now there’s a plea for members of the public to come to their aid. If there’s a young tree near to where you live or work, a bucketful of water a couple of times a week will help it stay healthy. To conserve water, try using “grey” water from water butts or washing the car.
