Members of the travelling community have arrived in the East Cowes - TopicsExpress

Members of the travelling community have arrived in the East Cowes area of the Island in the last few days. Can we remind all our Country Watch members to take steps in securing your land/ fields, your out buildings and access routes onto land. Please regularly check your fields to make sure that no unauthorised person or group have accessed your land or any part of it. If you have any sightings of caravans and Ford Transit type vans or they are on your land please ring 101 and quote OPERATION QUEBEC asap. Some of the travellers are using Transit vans to carry out work around the island. If you are approached by anybody asking if your drive needs tarmacing, waste clearance, roof repairing or any other type of door to door service then again please ring 101. Many thanks for your assistance.
