Membership to the WEA is free in England, but our members support us in so many other ways, from donations and fundraising to raising our profile, supporting our campaigns and helping make our voice heard. Having recently renewed our membership base in England we want to develop our relationship with existing members and recruit new members. We would really like to encourage tutors, students and volunteers to become active members of the WEA as we try to tackle economic and social disadvantage, raise aspirations and help people make a difference to their own lives through education. The WEA draws great strength from this collective voice. To help drive membership numbers we have produced a new leaflet that can be downloaded from the WEA website at wea.org.uk/getinvolved/join. You can get your printed hard copy by emailing the membership team at [email protected] If you are already a member of the WEA, perhaps you can help further support the work of the Association by encouraging others to consider membership or attend a WEA class in your area.
