Men are constantly numbering or COUNTING THE WRONG THINGS! I remember a man who was constantly counting the amount of money that he had. When I knew of him he had about eight hundred million dollars. Every year, he would assess his wealth as it gradually increased from 800 million to 1 billion dollars. He was obsessed with crossing the 1 billion dollar mark. Another rich man that I knew was constantly numbering his coloured Mercedes Benz cars that were parked in his driveway. He had the exact same car in different colours for different days and different occasions. A lady I knew actually numbered her numerous dresses. I marvelled as I saw her dresses carefully numbered and lined in a long array. Her numerous shoes of different shades and colours filled large spaces in her closet. I once saw a shoe shop in a certain country which reminded me of this lady who had numbered her shoes. The shop was called “There is nothing like too many shoes Limited”. God advises His children to COUNT THEIR DAYS rather than their shoes, their money, their cars or their houses. Sadly, men are doing the exact opposite. ....So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Ps 90:12. MAY WE LEARN TO NUMBER OUR DAYS HERE ON THIS EARTH.
