Mentorship: Writing mentorships with Luanne Armstrong Are you struggling with beginning your writing project? Finishing your writing project– or still stuck in the middle somewhere? An ongoing mentorship with Luanne with get you writing, keep you writing, or help you finish your writing project and take it all the way through the publication process. A writing mentorship is a co-created online project with an emerging writer where the writer and Luanne decide together what level of interaction is needed to assist the writer to produce a viable, interesting, exciting manuscript. Through regular coaching meetings online, the writer is expected to produce up to a 1000 words per week which can be submitted either weekly or monthly which Luanne will then critique and which then the writer and Luanne will meet online to discuss. This online mentorship runs for three months for a cost of $500 and and is specifically designed to speed up the learning process and avoid many of the problems that emerging writers often struggle with such as :structural issues, language issues, creating a story, writing character ( this applies to both fiction and nonfiction) making writing active and other issues involved in the craft of writing. With each submission, Luanne will provide detailed notes on craft issues, on structural issues, on possible future directions for the story/manuscript, and suggestions for related reading. Luanne will also provide ideas for submissions for publication and guidance and assistance through the publication process. What can a mentor like Luanne do for you? She will explain the strengths of your manuscript and what is working and then point out what can be amended to make the manuscript even more interesting. She will give you suggestions but always leave it up to you to make the final decisions. She will help you identify realistic goals for your writing as well as a writing process that works for you. She will be positive, supportive and realistic. She will focus on your work and how to make it be the very best it can be.
