Merced County residents are making a difference. On land and water, more than two dozen volunteers spent their Saturday cleaning up garbage from the Merced River. The clean up started near Snelling, in Henderson Park. Carrying large orange bags, many volunteers picked up trash along the banks, while others in kayaks and boats picked up trash in the water.
