Mere_Mortal_Weekly_Choice for Audio Sabotage Sam Amidon (Samuel Tear) is a folk singer/songwriter from Vermont, USA currently living in London, UK. He was born into a family of musicians and seemingly decided to continue to tradition by marrying Beth Orton. This song is the first single from the tribute album to Arthur Russell named Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell, release by the Red Hot Organization. A gifted musician, he recorded brilliant music throughout the 80s and remained relatively unknown during his lifetime, sadly cut-short at age of 40. His main instrument was the cello but Arthurs sweet and vulnerable vocal melodies are what stands out the most in this stripped down re-interpretation by Sam Amidon.
