Meriwether County Voted to no longer use the Manchester Recreation department and good for them. But as a citizen of Manchester do we want to pay for a rec department when we already have one we fund? It is call double taxation and the city residents deserve a tax break for the services we will not be using. It has happened in Dalton 2 years ago .. and in Gwinnett County the county had to pay back the cities for the double service.. Maybe the county needs to rethink … since it was never put to a county wide vote we never know what the people think .. But I believe that Warm Springs votes should decide to join the Manchester Rec. Dept or the Meriwether Rec department and pay the taxes to either one … an Manchester should not be charged twice … Just my opinion side to it .. .what does everyone else think … ??? espleshly ones in the City daltondailycitizen/local/x143596898/Dalton-council-protests-double-taxation
