Merle and Donna Eggemeyer Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary Merle and Donna Eggemeyer of Steeleville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Pioneer Cabin in Willisville, Illinois. Merle and the former Donna Johnson were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, Illinois, on October 17, 1964. Mr. Eggemeyer is the son of the late Liewald and Lydia Eggemeyer of Chester, Illinois and Donna is the daughter of the late Herman and Verna Johnson of Dyersburg, Tennessee. They are the parents of Betty (Fred) Hutchinson of Perryville, Missouri; Carol (Lee) Jirel of Aiken, South Carolina; Annette (Rodney) Morwick of Fults, Illinois, and Doris (Allen) Mehrer of Monroe City, Missouri. They are the proud grandparents of five grandsons (Eric Hutchinson, Joey Hutchinson, Bobby Jirel, Nathan Mehrer and Evan Jirel) and three granddaughters (Adrian Mehrer, and twins Katie & Megan Morwick). Merle is a retired farmer and employee of Spartan Printing Press in Sparta, Illinois and Donna is a retired employee of Spartan Light Metals in Sparta, Illinois. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, Illinois. Their children are asking family and friends to help them celebrate this milestone by showering them with cards.
