Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my Facebook Friends! Christ Mass is best celebrated in reverse. The mass of Christ is the celebration of His sacrificial death on the cross in the light of His resurrection. The purpose and celebration of Christmas begins at the resurrection. In the light of the resurrection we understand the “Star of Wonder” and the implications of the little child being swaddled in humble cloths in a manger. For me the familiar verse from John 3:16. 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. I see the child in the stable and I understand that my salvation, my life, and my purpose are all wrapped up in the manger. I find that the purpose of the Christ Mass is to draw me back and as David reminds us in Psalm 51:2 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. It is the message of God’s redeeming love revisited each year at Christmas that is a spiritual boost. God Bless you everyone. My wish for you is great Health, great Peace, Love and Happiness! Teresa
