Merry Christmas to all my friends!! In the midst of this season of celebration, gift giving, holiday spirit and family fun, I want to take a moment to reflect on our many blessings this year. First and foremost , on behalf of myself and the Joey Yap Group, I want to say - THANK YOU! Your continued support of our mission is very important to all of us and we appreciate you. You guys are truly the heartbeat and the driving force behind everything we do. The world consists of infinite possibilities all existing at the same time. You could have chosen to be anywhere you wanted to be this year, but at some point you have chosen to connect with me, either through one of our talks, classes, events, books or here on FaceBook. I want you to know, that this means the world to me. I often feel that the two simple words of gratitude fall short of expressing the wonderment and appreciation that I feel towards all of you, who helped me and my team share the message and teachings of Chinese Metaphysics around the world, throughout the year. 2014 has been an extraordinary year for us with many new milestones and accomplishments. I would say challenging too but really, every year has its challenges. We’ve come through this one as you would expect – strong, passionate, committed and full of momentum. So THANK YOU for believing in me and my team. Thank you for keeping the Joey Yap community and FB vibrant. Personally, 2014 has been an incredible learning experience; discovering the significance of my work. Even though 2014 marks my 18th year in the practice of metaphysics - this year has been the most emotionally rewarding. The emotional value of the priceless memories, the wonderful emails about lives transformed and the positive feedbacks that I received, particularly as a result of my classes and work in QiMen, has become the foundation of my current and future initiatives. When I think about 2014, the overwhelming feeling I get is that I feel very blessed. Not everyone gets to live their passion and I definitely recognize and appreciate my good fortune. A journalist asked me today, what is my definition of living life. To me - life is about learning—and about using those lessons to become a better human being, a better friend, better employer, better teacher, better student, better employee, better business person, better parent and perhaps - a better steward of our blessings. I never saw myself as a Feng Shui Master or Grand Master, but rather as a simple teacher whose primary classroom is the environment. But I also understood that I was an eternal student. I have tried and continue to try daily to learn something new….to achieve a different perspective, or to gain a more mature understanding of the world through Chinese metaphysics. Nothing makes me happier than to help my friends, students or clients regain power over their lives and rebuild a new, healthier and positive relationship with themselves. To see that shift take place is truly amazing. As we look back upon 2014 from a global perspective, we recall a year that was filled with many unforgettable events - some inspiring, while many are saddening and challenging. It’s certainly an imperfect world but I have such optimism and hope for the future because there are so many caring people who seek to use metaphysics to improve this world and leave it in a better place. Within the JY community this year - we’ve formed a new arm - the JY Apprentice Group. I feel so blessed to connect and interact with so many talented people in this group, rallying to do good and impart change. Together, we are doing what we love to do, weaving together of the world’s largest Chinese Metaphysics universe! I’m very much looking forward to the year ahead. 2015 is going to be even better and we are looking forward to sharing it with you. We have so many interesting new works and events in the pipeline. The Trinity Retreat in Penang (where we’ll be doing the QiMen Sage Path) and the Tibet Excursion are amongst the highlights! It’s going to be a fabulous 2015, and I’m really excited to have you share this important journey with us. Let us all commit to embracing the Wood Goat together with renewed hope, courage and faith and build a brighter tomorrow for all. I’m on maximum holiday mood right now, hope you are all feeling the magical holiday season too! I’m due for my annual year-end snowboarding trip! I’m looking so much forward to it! I just finished packing my bags and I am ready to rock and roll! This year I’m gonna do backcountry snowmobiling! (Will be posting some pix here on FB soon.
