Message from firey Daniel Spooner: Retired Station Officer 2287 Barry Magoo McGuiggan recently passed away. His funeral is planned for this Friday, 28th November up on the Central Coast with a memorial day/paddle out organised for the Saturday. For those that cant make it, Magoo will be driven for a final time along the foreshore of Bondi on Thursday at around midday. 76 pump will be part of the procession. If you can make it, his family and friends have requested as many people to come down with a surfboard and form a guard of honour along Queen Elizabeth Drive between the pav and the lifeguard tower. Then, I believe, there may be an impromptu paddle out to celebrate the life of a Fire Brigades, surfing and Bondi legend. Vale, Magoo. I hope your up there enjoying the surf with your old mates, Rog Mullhall and Bluey.
