Message from our Community President: Please send out tonight. The past couple weeks has seen a rash of break-ins in Forest Glen. There have been burglaries on Berwyn, Balmoral, and LaPorte that we know of. These have all occurred in afternoon hours on week days when most are at work and have all been crimes of opportunity. A neighbor just today saw a suspicious van driving around the alley and called 911. ALWAYS CALL 911 WHEN YOU SEE SUSPICIOUS PERSONS. Describe the person or vehicles as best you can and get license plates if possible. Even partial plate numbers are useful! The police will respond to these calls. There is a lot if construction in Forest Glen right now so we need to be doubly careful and watchful. They are using all this work to blend in. Mostly what is being taken are laptops, cash and jewelry, things that can be sold quick. Make sure you have serial numbers and back up your files on back-up drives if possible. This Monday at 7pm is our local CAPS meeting at the church, please attend if possible for more tips on how to keep your family and home safe. We are all in this together.
