Messenger The family lived in an old turn of the century home that had been converted to apartments. One day the woman was in her apartment alone and decided to take a bath. She took off her clothes, put on her robe and walked toward the bathroom. She suddenly sensed someone standing there , looked up, and saw a man in the apartment doorway. She panicked and followed him out to see where he had gone and he went into the hallway. She watched him walk into the widows apartment across the hall and felt compelled to follow him. The widows apartment was unlocked and she entered to look for the man, but found something much worse. The widow had slashed her wrists in despair after drinking, she attempted suicide. She said that she missed her husband and wanted to die to be with him. She later showed the landlady a picture of her husband and it was the man she had seen in her apartment that day.
