Met a lovely Chechen woman and her Chechen-German daughter yesterday while walking Jack at Camana Bay. Enjoyed getting to know her and her 11 month old daughter who is going to give Jack a run for his money. Part of our conversation included her telling me about how her and her husband left this island "to settle down in Switzerland" (which placed them closer geographically to their extended families). She shared how much they missed it here in Cayman resulting in them relocating to the island once again. "There is just something so special about this island" she shared. Tim and I feel the peace of this island too. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to raise our son here with people from all over the world. #blessed #islandliving #diversity
