Meteorologist Jon Loufman here. A major storm with a wealth of moisture lifts across the region tonight and Sunday. Most of what we see will be rain as well be on the warm side of the storm for most of the weekend. Some of the rain could be heavy at times as the southwest wind brings higher gusts this evening and tomorrow. Temperatures will be holding in the 40s throughout Saturday night before an industrial strength cold front crosses the region Sunday morning and temperatures plummet dramatically as rain mixes with, then changes to snow. At this point, snowfall amounts do not look to be significant. Stay tuned! Well become entrenched in arctic air Sunday night as lows bottom out in the mid-teens and Mondays highs struggle toward a recovery only approaching 20 degrees.
