Metropolitan Planning Organization update. Please find the latest status and dates for several road projects in Harrisburg. Our MPO representative Jeff Phillips provided the updates to council a few weeks back. These dates are as of 3/19/2014 and certainly not cast in stone and have a high probability to change. I hope to continue to provide updates as soon as we have the information. We are and will continue to be in constant contact with NCDOT to provide you with the latest. Railroad Bed Construction - completion date 5/15/2017, add additional mainline track to speed up corridor and reduce train noise. Pharr Mill - Construct grade separation and relocate intersection and relocation of Shamrock Road. Status: Under construction, potential closure of Pharr mill 3/15/2015; opening of Saddlecreek connector and closing Shamrock 12/31/2015. Roberta Road Extension from 49 to Stallings with grade separation. Status: Under construction, closure of Hickory ridge 9/1/2014 (depending on utilities); Roberta Bridge opening 7/15/2015. Robinson Church will close when bridge opens. Stallings road closure and detours begins 8/01/2014. Caldwell Park Drive - Reconstruct existing roadway and install bridge to access properties after private cross closures. Status under construction - completion date 04/30/2015 Caldwell Road - Construct Grade Separation over tracks and remove existing crossing. Status under construction, completion date not provided. previous post date provide 11/11/2015 Morehead Carving Tree turn lane - Construction to start after May race. no completion date provided Morehead bridge - replacement of bridge, like pairing with project above. TBD Raging Ridge Extension - roadway and bridge from Ragin Ridge to Stallings. Construction to start summer/fall Robinson Church - intersection improvements to widen turn radius from Robinson to Stallings. Design complete, work in progress on utility relocation and right of way. Construction 2014.
