Michael Andrew “Mikie” Davisson, 33, of Lost Creek, WV, departed this life on May 11, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital unexpectedly. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on September 22, 1980 a son of Charles E. “Eddie” and Donna Rose Webb Davisson of West Milford. Mikie is survived by one son Andrew Charles Davisson of Winchester, VA; four siblings, Nickie Fortney of Bridgeport, Chris Davisson of Fairmont, Donnie Davisson of Shinnston and Danielle Lancaster and husband Kenny of West Milford; nieces and nephews, Gerrod Bee, Nicholas Davisson, Landon McFadden, Connor Fortney, Chandler Fortney and Katerina Fortney. Also surviving is his companion, Jonetta Collins, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose “Nanny” Webb, with whom he was very close, and also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Webb; his paternal grandparents, Wade and Frances Davisson and his uncle, Tom Webb. He was a graduate of South Harrison High School, Class of 1998 and was a Supervisor of Detail with Mountain State Auto Auction. Although Mikie did not play with his brothers in the Davisson Brothers Band, he was the rock behind the band and believed in his brothers more than anyone else in this world. His brothers always knew that he had their back no matter what they were doing. Mikie always made sure that his brothers were alright no matter what part of the country they were playing in. Mikie and his family made a lifetime of great memories, on the ball fields, wrestling mats, hunting, fishing, playing music, singing and many other activities. In Mikie’s free time, he loved visiting his parents where he rode four wheelers and went fishing. Mikie was a champion in many regards and his family is proud of his many accomplishments. He was a two time champion in the Annual Tough Man Contest, where he was known as the “Five Foot Assassin.” He had more heart and determination than anyone in this world. Mikie Davisson was a leader and a great dad. He was the toughest and most gifted man that his family has ever known. He stood up for what he believed in and never backed down from anything, anywhere or anytime. He touched many people in ways that no one else ever could. Mikie had a special love for his little sister, Danielle and enjoyed spending time with her and her sons, Gerrod and Landon. Although he loved his family and life to the fullest, his number one passion was his son, Andrew. Andrew was the love of his life. They thoroughly enjoyed their father/son time together…fishing, skating, going to the mall, swimming and just spending quality time. Mikie was Andrew’s mentor and best friend. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the love and prayers during the past couple of days. They feel very fortunate to have so much love and support around them. The Davisson family is heartbroken over the loss of Mikie, and asks for continued prayers and to hold onto all the good memories he left behind. Family and friends will be received at the Nathan Goff Armory, 5 Armory Road, Clarksburg on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Nathan Goff Armory on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father William Anderson presiding. Interment will follow at the Olive Branch Cemetery. In addition to flowers, donations may be made for the benefit of Mikie Davisson, c/o Chris Davisson, 2655 Bunner Ridge Road, Fairmont, WV 26554.
