Michael Bilbrey elected Association President Michael Bilbrey is the new California School Employees Association President. Bilbrey, a member of Citrus College Chapter 101, was elected on the final day of Conference to become the 44th president in California School Employee Association’s 87-year history. Ben Valdepeña, member of Yucaipa-Calimesa Chapter 209, was elected CSEA First Vice President; Delores Rodriguez, member of Corona Norco Chapter 369, was elected CSEA Second Vice President, and Kerry Woods, member of Fullerton High Chapter 82, was elected CSEA Secretary. “I want you to know you have elected an amazing team that is going to work hard on your behalf,” Bilbrey said. “We are CSEA. We are one.” After serving as president for four years, Allan Clark will remain on the CSEA Board of Directors as the CSEA Past President. Clark thanked delegates for the pleasure and honor of serving as association president. Delegates bid farewell to three outgoing members of the CSEA Board of Directors. Area E Director Karen Gardner and Area G Director Bill Rawlings both bid tearful goodbyes to the board. New Area E Director Sylvia Diaz and new Area G Director John Nieto were sworn in as board members. Past President Rob Feckner also said goodbye to the CSEA Board after 17 years. Following the Good of the Order, CSEA’s 87th Annual Conference will come to a close. Next year’s conference will be held in Sacramento from Aug. 3-7, 2014.
