Michael W HoggardThe Official Bethel Church Watchman Group January 20 at 7:59pm · Edited · The Corrupt Fruit of Finnis Dake – In Dake’s book GOD’S PLAN FOR MAN, he puts forth the ridiculous idea that there are 9 separate entities that make up his version of the “trinity.” In Dake’s own words, “There are over 500 plain scriptures that refer to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as being THREE SEPARATE AND DISTINCT PERSONS, each with His OWN PERSONAL BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT, in the sense that all other persons have them.” (God’s Plan for Man, pg 498, I actually have the book in front of me as I write this.) This idea can also be found on page 497. “’In him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead BODILY’ (Col.2:9). This is taken by some to mean that all of God dwelled in the body of Jesus and there was no person or any part of God existing outside of the body of Jesus. This is not the meaning of this passage at all, for there were TWO separate persons with their own bodies, souls, and spirits who still existed outside the body of Jesus.” Later, Dake decides that the KJB wording of Colossians 2:9 is insufficient, for he says, “It may be translated ‘In Him dwelleth all the fullness of the atonement BODILY’ or ‘the fullness of the Godhead sacrificially’”. (God’s Plan for Man, pg 497). Here is an example of the corrupt fruit that Dake has sown on a gullible world. Benny Hinn is clearly influenced by Dake’s “9 part Trinity” in the following clip.
