Michael: We are official! On Friday I received confirmation that our application for our foundation was accepted for the state of Georgia. Just waiting on confirmation from the IRS. Granting Grace For Childhood Cancer Foundation. June and I are thrilled to be able to have an avenue to raise money and give back to help others going through this trial. We know we cant, without a lot of effort and at this time that is difficult going through this ourselves with Grant, do some things as well some other organizations such as Rally Foundation, Amanda Riley Foundation, and so many others that have helped us. So, we plan on partnering with organizations that already do things well, and raise money to distribute to individual families who need support and to other organizations to further their goals towards research and support. Stay tuned for the first annual charity golf tournament in October to benefit the Granting Grace Foundation. Hopefully the first of many events. God has called us to go through this trial. We have a long road to go. We feel strongly that he has also called us to help. And one day, when Grant has officially kicked cancers you know what, we can look him in the eye and tell him how many people his fight helped, and that we did something. We know we can count on the Grace for Grant family on this page to pray for us in this endeavor and that we can count on you to help us Grant Grace for children fighting this horrible disease. Thank you again to all that donated on Thursday for the Care-A-Thon benefiting the Aflac Cancer Center. Over two days Atlantas WSB-Radio was able to raise 1.6 million dollars which will directly help kids like Grant fighting cancer and blood disorders. I want to also mention that many patient families we have met over the past month and a half, that are going through this right now, called and donated to participate during our matching hour. Truly amazing. God is good...all the time. You should all pat yourself on the back as you had a part in an amazing two days of fundraising. We had an awesome hour. Little by little it all adds up to a difference making amount of money. THANK YOU! So how can you help? A wristband will come with a purchase of a shirt at no charge, but if you want a wristband only, those are now available. Again, all proceeds from the sales of shirts and wristbands will be given to the Aflac Cancer Center. We are all home and doing well this weekend. We have an appointment tomorrow morning to do blood and see where Grants blood counts are at to determine what day to do the stem cell harvest this week. Next Monday we start the third round of chemo, which is supposed to be much harsher than the first two with a lot of vomiting. We will enjoy Grant in a good mood while we can. He is such a trooper.
