Mick Johnson has uploaded two of the three sides that the Kingsway Revels Dance Band made for Piccadilly in December 1929; here is the remaining one. Its a lovely side redolent with period atmosphere (right down to the temple blocks.) The lead trumpet sounds like Bert Hargest to me. If thats true then it may make a valid case for this being an augmented formation of Jack Padburys Cosmo Club Six, or at the very least the band on this record may contain some of the same musicians.
