Mike Mubanga It is indeed a very sad development to learn this morning that shoprite has fired all it workers countrywide. Now i want us to understand one thing ,when shoprite came to zambia we the people of zambia welcomed it and gave it 5yrs tax incentive at the same time our fellow citizens who worked for shoprite were subjected to slave wages up to until now. The question to government and all zambians citizens why should we allow ourselves to be enslaved in a manner were we are not even given chance to express ourselves when it comes to slave conditions of service.it is very painfull and unbearable to see citizens being ill treated in such a manner when there is a ligimately elected government in place. what we must understand here is that these workers do not want everything for themselves ,but a fair share of there input bearing in mind that shoprite needs to make profits and sustain itself. To those in power ,MMD were voted out because workers in zambia for too long were neglected by government and i see the same happening to PF if these issues are left hunging. Shamenda,Mbulu,Chitotela pliz do what is right if it means shoprite leaving.its ok others will come.its time we called a spade a spade. May the goodlord bless all embatled shoprite workers and i proclaim fire upon shoprite management for subjecting these inocent souls to untold misery .in Jesus name AMEN.
