Mike Rowe Asks Congress To Support More Dirty Jobs- I feel that this is an excellent speech which I completely agree with. The average age of tradesmen (and women) is approaching retirement age, this infrastructure will have some serious problems if people stop learning how to do the things that make life as we know it possible. As Mike said: bridges, dams, electrical work, home building, plumbing, both fresh and sewer treatment plants, not to mention the reclamation plants to remove toxins, pharmaceuticals and salts from water (which well need with the shortages that have been happening recently) are all things that we need to think about. To add to all of that, the crippling debt that our education system puts on the shoulders of young people that are just getting started in life, when even with multiple degrees, people struggle to find jobs in their field.
