Mike and I have prayed and weighed and thought about the prospect of me staying home with our kiddos once our son is born- in January. I am thrilled to say that we have decided that I will soon be a “Domestic CEO” as my little sister so eloquently put it! Yea!! It is listed as a “Credentialing Specialist”. As you will read, the requirements are very specific and not a lot of people have the experience necessary. So, all you NightHawkers … get online and apply! Kootenai Health is a great place to work, and Lisa is a great boss. We are a small department of 5 people, but we all get along well and work together well. You have a lot of interaction with physicians and have a very diverse work load. You will need to be very organized and thorough. Kootenai has some VERY exciting things coming up- expansion of not only our building but we are adding a women’s and children’s center... A lot of exciting opportunities! This is a good long term secure position. There are no talks or prospects of outsourcing the credentialing process. Though I am very excited to stay home and be a mommy and wife, I will miss the job too. There is rarely a dull day in The Medical Staff Office at Kootenai Health. HURRY! I need to spend a lot of time training the right person!
