Mildly Bittersweet status tonight-It was the 3rd follow-up doctor appt since Juli badly injured her finger and the outer stitches were removed and overall she is doing well but her doctor is very concerned about the intensity of the trauma to the cells in her finger (below the fingernail) and is not sure about deformity to her finger and foremost does not believe that her fingernail will survive or ever grow again. So part of me is like- well she has her finger and is healing and the rest of me is like--really she is 5--and she has already struggled through developmental dysplasia at birth and now has this dumb finger disfigurement ( I know know know that there are way worse situations so please dont react wrongly to this) but wondering if people in Orange County CA have a good plastic surgeon to recommend?!?!
