Military service pay to below officer rank. Please read carefully the recommendation of sixth pay commission para 2.3.26. Defence Forces officers, the Commission has recommended MSP of Rs.6000 for posts upto Brigadier/equivalent. The Commission is of the view that the rate of MSP as a percentage of the existing pay has to be maintained in case of officers (up to the level of Brigadier/equivalent) as well as PBORs because the difficulties faced in field situations by both these categories are similar. I repeat the world of 6th pay commission difficulties faced in field situations by the both these categories are similar. Whereas in practical difficulties faced by PBORs in peace and field are very more than officers. Further read the view of Armed forces, Military Service Pay has been introduced in recognition of intangible difficulties experienced by armed forces personals on their entire career. If we take into account the view of 6th pay commission and AHQ that difficulties faced by the both categories are same , doctrine of equal pay for equal work under article 14 of constitution of India should also applied as both officer and below are employed to defend India against external aggression and to assist civil administration as and when need be and difficulties faced by the both categories for the equal work are same. Hence, MSP for officers, MNS and below officer ranks should be equal whereas it is Rs. 6000/-, 4200/- and Rs. 2000 respectively. Further existing MSP has been granted to the below officer rank pensioner from 01 July 2009 whereas in case of officer it has been granted from 01 Jan 2006. Our organization has decided to take the matter in Supreme Court as nexus will not let PBORs to get equal MSP to all rank and from 01 Jan 2006. Top advocate of Supreme court need to be hired. Below officer rank should intimate what type of help can be rendered by him. Advocates belong to below officers rank practicing in Supreme Court and High Courts should assist. best regards Bir Bahadur Singh National Co-ordinator Voice of All India Ex-Servicemen (JCOs/NCOs/ORs) Mobile - 9897468767
