Mill Valley during the summer of 1967... Myself and my childhood friends were riding our bikes when we heard live music coming from the old Browns Hall near the 2am club. We entered the unlocked front door where Moby Grape, a great band from that era, was rehearsing. They invited us kids to stay if we were quiet. How cool, we were the only audience! Cooler than that, after the band was done rehearsing, they invited us to Boyle Park to play softball with them. I remember getting into a band members silver Porsche coup for the ride to the game. The band members were very nice to us brats and always very funny. I listen to Moby Grape today and smile. What a magical time and place it was...
