Mining will soon destroy once paradise riverside village of Barangay E. Morgado, Santiago, Agusan del Norte. The mining firm MRL Gold once owned or in partnership with TVI but TVI sold their rights and shares to allegedly former Senate President Manny Villar by which given award by DENR, EMB (for considerations daw) according to paid advertisement. But environmentalist groups claimed it is NOT supposed to be an awardee for environment but it must be called as alleged ENVIRONMENTAL DESTROYER they claimed aptly described the mining firm. Accordingly once operations will be in full operational; as it will start. soon IT WILL BE TOTAL DESTRUCTION DAW. They alleged it is now even hauling mineral ores even if it still under exploration period. They hauled already mineral ores using big cargo foreign vessel docked at the Tubay town side where the firm build a port. THOSE MOUNTAINS in Santiago town, according the environmental groups will become swimming pool SOON. Said mining firm already build a port in a Tubay village by allegedly destroying all coral reefs. Yet it still an AWARDEE? asked the environmental watch groups! This writer tried to get the side of the Manny Villar owned mining firm but to no avail. Here are some photos of still not destroyed mountains and environment in Barangay E. Morgado, Santiago town but in near future it wont look the same. Please remember these photos if it will be the same lets say 3 years from NOW... The rowing man is a fisherman in Barangay E. Morgado who worried the Calinawan River in said village where he is catch fish for livelihood and food for his family will be destroyed soon once mining of the Villar owned mining firm starts, worries the fisherman.
