Minisink Valley Lady Warriors came up with HUGE WIN last night winning the semi final match against Washingtonville. Both Teams played hard and both were playing to win. Freshman Booke Gallagher scored MVs first goal of the game off a beautiful cross from Mykenzie Ryder. 2nd goal was a direct kick scored by Nikki Colantuono. She placed the ball perfectly. Gina Rivera scored the only goal for Washingtonville, goalie Shyla Macaluso made a nice deflection but just couldnt get there before Rivera kicked it in. Washingtonville had another chance but missed PK opportunity. Shyla Macaluso recorded 9 great saves. The Warriors played their best 80 mins they had and it paid off. Section IX Final Title game will be played tomorrow night against Monroe at Middletown HS at 6pm. Monroe beat Warwick in a grueling double over time plus 2 sudden death periods. Then finally in PKs. MV needs fans to show up in true Warrior fashion while the 2 teams battle for the Section IX Crown. Go Warriors!!! ⚽️
