Miracle Max has been breaking hearts all over the country, and this gentleman of a certain age is ready to find his forever home! If youre not familiar with Maxs story, he was surrendered because his aging owner was unable to continue to care for Max. Max is the oldest frog FBRN has ever taken in at 13 and one half years old. It was a very tearful surrender for Max and his owner and we are serious when we say were going to find Max the PERFECT home for him to enjoy his golden years. Max is a very sweet gentleman who loves nothing more than a comfy bed, some tasty treats, and a full dinner bowl! At 13.5 years old, Miracle Max is very healthy indeed. The vet reports that his blood work looks excellent! He has no allergies and is just a bit arthritic. A joint supplement helps somewhat, so his forever family would have to be committed to continuing on with that regimen. Max is deaf and his vision is a bit limited. Dont let that fool you, though, because his sense of smell is keen as ever. When that fridge door opens up Max is as quick as a puppy looking for a tasty treat! Because of Maxs age he can really only hold it for about 3 hours or so. Any longer than that and hell have an accident in the house. Max knows he is supposed to potty outside, he just has accidents when its been too long. If you can keep Max on a consistent schedule, hell do very well and accidents will be limited! His foster mom has used belly bands when theyve been gone more than 3 hours and she reports that they seem to help a bit. Maxs new owners must understand that when you gotta go, you gotta go! Max should never be punished for having an accident in the house. At Maxs age he really could not care less about cats. Dog savvy cats wouldnt break his stride so our feline owners can feel free to apply! Older kids who understand that Max isnt going to wrestle would be just fine, as well. Max really just enjoys lazing his days away in a comfy bed, begging for treats, and following his foster mom around the house. If you have dogs in your home that would leave Max be, that would be just fine. His days of Frenchie wrastlin are behind him. Miracle Maxs foster mom reports that Max is not super cuddly, but he LOVES to be near his people snoozing at the foot of the couch or following mom around. When she gets home from work she says Max will run mini-laps around the house because hes so excited to see her! And dont forget his daily sprints to the fridge where hell beg for a snack! Dont expect Max to sit or roll over though! None of that! He knows his sweet old face is good enough to score any treat he wants! The perfect home for Max would be one in which his people are home as much of the time as possible. Hed even be a great office dog if you could take him out for a potty break every couple hours! Stairs are difficult for Max, but so long as youre committed to carrying him up the stairs with you whenever you change floors, hed do okay. He doesnt need a fenced yard, either. Just a convenient place to do his business. Max isnt picky! Miracle Max is just that - a miracle! This elderly pup has won the hearts of all of FBRNs volunteers but especially that of his foster mom. She has a special message for his new forever family: Max is a super sweet old man who deserves to live out the rest of his years in calm and quiet forever home with as many blueberries as he likes (which according to him is MANY!) Donât let his age fool you, he has lots of spunk when it comes to dinner time and cozy beds. His needs are simple, but he still has lots of love to give. There is no reason why his golden years canât be some of his best. If you can open your home to a gentleman of a certain age who just wants to be loved, then fill out an application for Max and prepare for a trip to Michigan because Max will not be shipped! Max is currently available through the French Bulldog Rescue Network in Lansing, MI. Email: [email protected]
