Miscreants burnt Leading University’s new campus opening ceremony stage BDVoce Desk SYLHET, OCT: 07 The miscreants burnt the stage of new campus inauguration ceremony of Leading University at Kamal Bazaar area under Bishwanath upazilla in Sylhet. The incident took place on Monday morning. Locals said, a stage was built near Kamal Bazaar Ragib-Rabeya Degree Collage for the inaugurating program of Leading University’s newly built campus. On Monday at around 8.30am suddenly the stage started to burn. Though the local people tried to control but they failed if the flames reached in the whole stage. Later Bishwanath Thana Police turn the situation under control after reached there. Bishwanath Thana Officer-in-Charge (Acting) Abul Kalam Azad said it is still unidentified who burnt the stage. The inauguration program has delayed due to this incident. Form the beginning, The Leading University was continuing its’ academic activities in a rented building at Bandar Bazaar in Sylhet City. Now the University built its own campus at Kamal Bazaar area of Bishwanath Upazilla in Sylhet.
