Miserable conditions. Former PR governor Carlos Romero Barcelo - TopicsExpress

Miserable conditions. Former PR governor Carlos Romero Barcelo and Pedro Rosello followed by Garcia Padilla (who made his political capital persecuting Wal-Mart in Puerto Rico) decided that it was time to move to a new economic model. They had to get rid of the IRS 930 code and they did. Most the manufacturing had moved away to more friendly environment. Thousands of PR workers have lost their jobs and they are in welfare, what justify them to vote for the statehood to keep milking the cow. We are left with Cheesecake Factory, Ponderosa and many service oriented american companies that do not and will not create the amount of high paid jobs that we need to maintain a growing environment. Pretty soon we are going to be (like the Boricuazo said) in the same conditions as we were in 1898 when we were richer than the USA. Imagine that!
