Miss SVG Shara George and her Chaperone Kimon Baptiste will leave the state on Monday to represent SVG in the 52nd Annual Jaycees Queen Show in Antigua and Barbuda, which will be held under the theme “Empowering women through pageantry”. The show will be held in two phases a preshow on Wednesday July 31st at the Dean William Lake Cultural Center and the main show on Friday August 2nd at St. John. There will be an elimination process. The top ten contestants will be selected from the pre show where contestants will be judged in interview, swimwear and evening wear. The main show on August 2nd will see the ladies being judged in all three categories with an addition of the talent segment. The interview segment will be held under the tag line “Breaking the silence” in support of child abuse. The PK Bank Ltd is offering a cash award of one thousand EC dollars to the winner in the interview segment. George and her chaperone are expected to return to the state on August 3, 2013.
