Missing from tonights news coverage of the outcome of the hearing regarding the impounding of 142 animals from the Santa Fe property: Three (3) mixed breed dogs, listed in good condition by the Galveston county sheriffs office as they were loaded during the wolfhound seizure, died. They will not give information as to when, why or how. We speculate they were first to be loaded in the unairconditioned truck and asphyxiated due to heat and/or lack of air circulation. Or they reacted aggressively to the Gestapo tactics used to enter the house and fought to the death. They have assured me Ballou is well but have not agreed to let me see him or even that they will return him. We have an adoption contract and a letter demanding his return and he is microchipped to the rescue. SPCA, release Ballou and Annabelle to the people who legally own them. The property owner is contractually forbidden from relinquishing Ballou to any shelter, kill or no kill.
