Missing my dad again . If ever there was a grandpa that loved his grandsons it was my dad. How many single men decorate their house, yard, and tree, put up a train set and make hot chocolate with marshmallows on Christmas eve, all because his grandsons are coming over? He bought the Sunday paper for weeks and saved the comics and used it for wrapping paper just so he could read the corny jokes to the boys. He always made sure everyone had the same # of gifts so no one opened more, and that the same amount of $$ was spent. If he spent $1 more on one ot them he would stop and buy a lottery ticket to put on their present. Im sure the boys didnt notice, and I thought some of it was silly, even ridiculous at the time. But I hope that someday my boys remember those silly little things and realize how much he loved them. Funny the things you didnt realize you would miss. I am thankful for the family that I still have with me everyday and the boys are still plenty spoiled and fussed over, but he will be forever missed
