Missy Rush Straley Three good things that happened to me today.( Im counting last night) 1. Your 13 year old daughter (11 I am now told lol) made me so proud last night at the fair. There was a young man, in a wheelchair, obviously very much incapacitated by cerebral palsy, and Kaitlyn Straley went over there with me and the three of us sang and danced and was very cool in hanging out with this young man and me with my gray hair. It was heartbreaking how many people had moved away from him. Just because you are in a wheelchair does not mean that music cannot move you. Kaitlyn was awesome. We laughed, we sang , we danced and most importantly this young man had a really fun concert experience. His mom was so happy and appreciative. 2. My appointment at The James was good. Staff was upbeat and friendly and so competent and accommodating. Its a tough thing to go through these appointments by myself and I was dreading it. They all made me feel so comfortable. 3. Happiness in finding out that my nephew Tim Dawson will be going to Oregon with me this fall. He spent a lot of time out there. He loved the area and the people loved him. It will be so nice for him to get back out there.
