Missy and I went to the Waffle House the other evening, and when we got there we had the usual greeting, Welcome to Waffle House with an added, Glad you are here! as we were the only patrons in the place. Having my usual banter with the wait staff, one of the servers says she sure wished they would raise the minimum wage, she needed the money. I asked her who would pay for her raise and she said that her boss would. I then asked her how would he afford to do that and she said, raise the cost of the food. Then I asked her, if she thought raising the price of the food would bring in more customers for their empty store and she said, no, probably not. Then she got this perplexed deer in the headlights look and I left the store.
