Mixed results again on the 2nd day of Yonex French Open Super Series Badminton Championship!!! Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappas pair of Womens doubles lost their first round match. They also lost their mixed doubles matches respectively teaming up with Manu Attri and Tarun Kona.. After giving a brilliant display in the qualifying round, B Sai Praneeth retired while playing with a much higher Danish opponent, Hans-Kristian Vittinghus. In the womens singles Arundhati Pantawane lost in the first round but Saina Nehwal survived a first round scare to register a win against Nichaon Jindapon of Thailand, beating her in 3 sets, 12-21, 21-16, 21-13. PV Sindhu dominated the entire match against a much stronger opponent and Denmark Super Series finalist, World No.6, Korean, Ji Hyun Sung, beating her 21-8, 21-12. Its the ease with which this 18 year old defeats big names in Badminton world is absolutely worth praising... K Srikanth and Anand Pawar continued their winning streaks defeating World No.12, Wing Ki Wong of Hong Kong and Thomas Rouxell of France respectively.. Watch out for K Srikanth...I have been maintaining my stand in favour of this 20 year old lad..All he needs is a change in attitude, there is absolutely no problem in his skills....
