Modalities to organize employment fairs discussed UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER, 26:- To chalk out the modalities for conducting two day Employment Fair in Udhampur district during the current financial year 2013-14, the District Development Commissioner, Mrs. Yasha Mudgal convened a meeting of officers of coordination committee here on Saturday. Additional District Development Commissioner, Mr. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Joint Director Planning, Mr. Rakesh Jamwal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Pawan Parihar, Deputy Director Employment, Mr. Sandesh Sharma and district officers of different departments were present in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that two Employment Fairs would be organized each in block Chenani and Udhampur for the benefit of the common masses during the month of December, this year. The DDC directed the concerned departments to setup stalls pertaining to their departments for the awareness of general masses and highlight schemes initiated by the Central and State government for the benefit of unemployed educated youths for their socio economic alteration. Employment, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Industry, Handloom, KVIB, Floriculture, Handicrafts, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, SC/ST/OBC Corporation, DRDA, DUDA and Banks would set up their respective stalls. The officers of these departments were also asked to put in place Loan Application Forms and Brochures indicating details of schemes for distribution among the youths so that the employment fair may prove more catching and attractive. Concerned departments were also instructed to make adequate arrangement of security, first aid, sanitation, power and drinking water supply at the venue site during fair days. For the smooth conduct of employment fairs Additional District Development Commissioner was made the Nodal Officer of the fairs. Addressing the meeting, the DDC exhorted upon the officers to put in their sincere and coordinated efforts in making the fairs successful so that maximum number of unemployed youths can visit the fair and get benefits of the different programmes launched by the government to raise their socio-economic status.
