Modi in Alwar: Corrupt Gehlot government has been in slumber for 55 months Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi tore into Ashok Gehlot-led Congress rule in Rajasthan on Tuesday. Speaking at a rally in Alwar, the Gujarat Chief Minister quoted a Rajasthan High Court verdict criticising the lack of governance in the state. HC says we have never seen such a weak govt, SC says such a government (in the Centre) cannot remain in power. The high court also said if you cannot deliver, then you must quit office. There is no law in Rajasthan. Its Andher Nagri (lawless). Modi said the state holds many dubious distinctions. He said Rajasthan tops the list in atrocities on tribal communities. Congresss Rajasthan government is number one in giving people polluted water. See the condition of roads here, Modi said. You are also a leader in corruption. If there is a record for ministers in jail, that record is also held by your (Gehlots) government. There are over 40 instances of communal violence under your government, Gehlotji. Who is responsible for this? Modi added. Coming down heavily on Gehlots recent criticism of the Gujarat government, Modi said, Rajasthan chief minister talks about Gujarat day and night. Is election being held in Gujarat or Rajasthan? Should we talk about Gujarat or Rajasthan? Gujarat doesnt need certificates from Rajasthan CM. Gehlotji, see your own leaders. In December 2012, we told people the work done by us and we got a third term to serve them. Urging voters to uproot the Congress government, Modi said, Rajasthan doesnt want the government that has been in slumber for 55 months...Uproot the Congress that has destroyed the nation from Rajasthan. Take Rajasthan to greater heights under Vasundhara Raje. Make BJP victorious in the elections.
