Molding Associate/Operator Applied Medical Technology, Inc. - Brecksville, OH Department: Molding Reports to: Molding Lead Operator and Molding Supervisor or Production Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Supervise the work of others: No Hours/Pay: • 1st shift: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm • Pay: $8.50/hr to start, +$.25 after 90 days, +$.25/hr at completion of training • 2nd shift: M-F 3:45pm - 12:15am • Pay: $8.75/hr to start, +$.25 after 90 days, +$.25/hr at completion of training Position Summary: Operates molding machines according to a specific schedule Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned. • Manually remove molded components from injection molding machine • Inspect parts and perform secondary operations while the machine is cycling • Complete paperwork accurately and legibly • Cross-functional training required Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or Equivalent Language Skills: • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures in English • Ability to effectively communicate in English Mathematical Skills: • Ability to apply concepts of basic math Reasoning Ability: • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Job Functions: • Mental: Must be able to effectively communicate with others; complete and understand analysis of numbers; read, analyze and interpret written materials; compliance with company policies; respond appropriately to feedback to make improvements; maintain positive working relationships; troubleshoot and solve problems. Attention to detail. Ability to handle repetitive tasks. • Physical: Must be able to hear and verbally communicate. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand and walk for hours at a time. Moderate noise level, exposure to high temperature (about 350F) tooling and exposure to physical risk. Ability to handle and manipulate small components. Good eye-hand coordination, ability to handle repetitive tasks. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
