Mom Post *a post* we started our custody battle about a year ago. it has been a bumpy ass road and is still not a good or pretty one! our bm doesnt do any o the things she is suposed to. she hates me and lets it show. she hates my hubby, really lets that show! when do people forget, it takes 2 people to have that baby? and why do women think its ok to keep the dad out of the childs life? our boy is 8 now, i have been with dh for 6 years total, we split for a short time cuz of bm drama. at first, we had our boy whenever dh wanted him, then it just changed. she moved, changed her # and would never respond to dh. dh let this go till she tried to kill herself more than once. we had papers ready to go and was looking for her to serve her when she moved out of state! with our boy too! she came back almost a year later and we started this all again. then i was hit with awful news. my mother had been killed in fl state. that put everything on a stop cuz my hubby and i had to take care of that and be there for the trial. we filed for custody and were givin EOW for now, no extra time in the summer and all joint decisions. dh works and im home with our boy when hes here. yet i cant even pick him up from school cuz of her. we are now, a year later, finally have the G.A.L. working on our case. we have done everything we are suposed to do, already had a home visit with our son. for once during this time, i feel good about all of this. there is finally someone that can truely see that our son wants to be here with us. i almost starting crying so hard when we go to take him back to bm yesterday, he flat said he didnt want to go back to her. he was acting like he was scared. all we know now is if she doesn start doing the things she needs to, shes going to loose our boy for good.
