Mom had experienced several great days however she dealt with high BP all day on Sunday, this morning at 4:30 AM dad was awakened by mom trying to take her blood pressure. She had made several attempts but each one of them failed to produce a reading. Dad immediately got up and tried, and each effort produced an error when the number reached 278. They tried a second B/P unit and the same thing happened. I rushed her to the emergency room and even their equipment was erring out until finally they got a reading of something past 280/90 with a pulse of 125. They went through several steps and each failed for almost an hour. Finally they began to bring her pressure down. They sent her home with a 180/90, but when getting home we recognized an extreme weakness and drowsiness and blurred/double vision. She cannot stand alone due to the extreme weakness. Mom will re-enter Life-Care Rehab where she recently spent 2 weeks for recovery and dual therapy. PLEASE, PLEASE REMEMBER HER IN PRAYER....DAD TOO, PLEASE! This is the second episode like this she has experienced in the last month and 1/2.
