Mom update - she is off the BiPap machine -it forced oxygen into her lungs to increase her oxygen levels and help push the fluids out. She is just on regular oxygen supply at 3 liters, which isnt real high. They have removed the cath, so she will be able to use the bathroom. They are planning on getting her up and starting to walk tomorrow. Doctor says maybe Monday for discharge, but they are keeping a very close eye on her and he checks on her frequently - yes gang, more than once or twice a day. The staff here is amazing, everyone is friendly and helpful and will take the time to answer questions and explain. The respiratory therapist even showed me the xrays of Moms lungs today vs when she first arrived and explained the difference. (Hes 60 and kinda cute - sorry no picture, tho I did get one of her doctor). We are still up in the air (no pun intended) on flying home on Thursday. Keep those prayers and positive thoughts coming.
