Momma here! Boy what a day its been! After the failed rescue attempt I was pretty bummed but it was so good to go see our girl afterwards! She makes my heart smile! She had some chicken strips today and she sure liked them! She was in great spirits today! Monday is her surgery so I am nervous about that but I also know she is in great hands. I have to say how exciting it was to check her PO box and find treats and donations for Paddy!! Thank you Jan for the donation and letter to Paddy and also to Rob and Lori in Brooklyn for the Busy Bones!!! I have pics of her loot that I will have to post tomorrow so that her chicken pics all come through tonight😊 I have to tell you all about the amazing lady I met yesterday. She didnt even know Paddys whole story and did such an amazing thing for her. When I first posted about needing a crate, one of Paddys Pals said she had a friend who might could help. That friend messaged me and yesterday I went to meet the beautiful Shannon Bentley. Shannon had an extra large airline approved crate that her boxer Calvin flew home from Germany in and offered it to Paddy!!! How amazing is that??? It doesnt stop there... She mentioned she also had something else she would like to give. She went to her car and came back carrying one of those extra fluffy large blankets and said it was Calvins and she wanted Paddy to have it. You see, Calvin was her baby. She picked him out at 3 weeks old and then brought him home at 6 weeks. He was quite certainly the love of her life. Sadly, Calvin passed away from cancer approximately 2 months ago. While this loss is still very recent and raw, Shannon wanted to reach out to a baby in need. When she heard about Paddy, she said she felt it was Calvins way of saying he was okay and to let his stuff that he so loved, go to another baby in need. I cried, hugged her neck and thanked her so so much for this beautiful gift!!! I knew you all would be as moved by this gesture as I was so I asked if it was okay to share. I have found a way to thank her but that may take awhile to accomplish. Of course you will all be in the loop on that as well :) And on that day that Paddy gets to come home, she will have a very special blankie to call her very own... From her angel Calvin❤️🐾 Just when I think I cant be any more moved by the kindness still left in this world, things like this happen and prove me wrong. You all also make me feel that way with each like, share, comment and message. I truly will never be able to say thank you enough. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good! May you all have a blessed weekend. I love you dearly! Tiffany
