Mommy? Where is Jesus? I stopped for a second. I have spoken with my kids about the Lord and His continual presence, but considering our currently location in the restaurant drive-thru, I couldnt figure out why my son thought He was missing. Wheres Jesus? I questioned back. Yes. He used to be right here. It took me a minute to remember that last week there had been a flyer for a local vacation Bible school hanging in the window. My daughter had noticed it, and my son had been expecting to see it today. Its funny how we look for things differently when we are expecting to find them. I wonder how many areas of our lives or situations we would view differently if we were certain Jesus would be there waiting for us. Unlike the flyer in the window, Jesus presence is constant. He never changes, never leaves, never fails to show up. Are you expecting to encounter Him? Are you looking and certain that you will find Him in even the most common places? His love goes with you always. His peace surrounds you always. His hand gently covers you with His grace. Look for Him in the ordinary, friends. He will meet you there too.
