Moms scan experience is one that I hope to never have to live again. She has swelling in her abdomen and when she was told to lay straight back on her back, without moving for 30 minutes. The screams and cries that I heard while waiting coming from my mom, brought me to tears. She was soo tired even walking and her weakness was scary. At this point we thought she should go to the ER but the doctor didnt see anything critical and the nurse was coming later to take her blood. We went home and had a good afternoon consisting of making my grandmas banana bread, mom ate some soup and the milkshake I made her!! We were all set for bed and then I received the following message from the doctor: Hey Sarah, this is Sahar. Your mom needs to go to Millard Fillmore Suburban hospital ER NOW. Her labs are critically low. She needs blood and platelet transfusion ASAP. I am sorry for the news. They just called me from the lab and hgb and plt, also WBC are too low. So here we are again, at Suburban hospital. The weirdest thing though, we are both doing well, remaining calm and still looking forward to hearing the results tomorrow. Evidence of God? In the stillness in our hearts among the chaos. He is with us, through it all. Everyday is a new day, and in an instance your life can change...but Gods love remains the same. Thank you all for your prayers. We feel them, in an unexplainable way.
