Mon night- I guess its been a couple days since the last Andy update? Andy has been doing big work and continues to make good progress! His right arm is starting to get some more movement back. With the e-stim, he is getting able to do full curls with it. Walking is getting close. With a railing on his left side, he can get along on his own. He has also been working on stairs. He has the one step at a time thing pretty well figured out and is now working on doing doubles! He has recently started working on using a walker to get around. Its a little tough to control and feel confidently stable without 2 sturdy arms, but he is getting it. In fact, tonight, he was able to get from his bedroom to the bathroom and then to the living room pretty much all on his own w the walker! So close, so close! (Luckily we had narrow halls to bounce off of!) Talking has improved greatly as well as his general awareness. He still has some memory files that arent there yet, but he keeps going through pictures and asking questions trying to bring it back. As difficult as it is to have had this situation dropped on us and as hard as it is to see your teenage son have to go through this, Andy has maintained such an awesome, positive attitude. We couldnt be any prouder of him!! He is keeping us going!! And I also couldnt be any prouder of my amazing wife, Aletha for her unbelievable strength in basically, single handedly, being Andys full care provider as well as a family household AND maintaining a full time job! #nevergiveup #bettereveryday #andystrong
